Cosmetologists in the state of Texas MUST complete 4 hours of TDLR-approved continuing education every two years from an approved CE provider like Coursemax, in order to renew their Manicurist License. Course must include:
- 1 hour in Sanitation
- 3 hours in Cosmetology-related topics like:

For those who have held their licenses for at least 15 years, the only CE requirement is to to complete a 1-hour Sanitation course. The additional three hours of continuing education will be waived and will not be required.
